Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal – Statesman, Patriarch, and Visionary

Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal is the Chairman of Hero Group which consists of companies operating in diverse fields including auto components, two-wheelers, IT enabled services, training & education, insurance, financial services, real estate & infrastructure, etc., The prominent Companies of the Group are Hero MotoCorp Limited, Hero Realty Limited, HeroBPO, NsurePlus etc.,

A first generation entrepreneur, who along with his three brothers started a bicycle manufacturing unit in Ludhiana in the mid-forties, he has come a long way in his corporate journey with distinct qualities of leadership, entrepreneurship and vision.

Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal is a Member of the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering. He is the Ex-President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and All India Cycle Manufacturers' Association. He has been on the Board of Punjab National Bank and also the country's Central Bank (Reserve Bank of India – Northern Region). He has also been on the Board of several other Companies and institutions besides contributing to state and national level policy formulation by being designated on to various government committees. His contribution towards institution building is reflected in his guiding the Ludhiana Aviation Club, Ludhiana Stock Exchange and Ludhiana Management Association.

He has been associated with the Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana – a medical school with post-graduation – for over three decades and is currently its Chairman Emeritus.
